AAPH New England is an organization dedicated to:

bullet

Enhancing understanding of the existence and use of the natural behavior laws of all equines.

bullet

Exploring how these laws can be incorporated into horsemanship for any purpose,
in any discipline, at any level

bulletFostering fundamental knowledge of the natural laws, natural movements, fundamental  communication skills of equine and handler, and biomechanics of equine and rider

The Categories of Progression

The Categories of Progression put the working relationship between horse and handler into a practical context from ground work through riding and provide a framework for assessment of the application of skills and understanding of the natural equine laws. The evaluation forms and criteria used as part of the AAPH Horsemanship Meets provide the structure for that assessment.

The Objectives of AAPH are to…

Provide a forum for exploring, learning, sharing, and  applying
the innate laws  of the horse.
Ë
Provide opportunities through which the natural laws of the horse
can be promoted in the form of horsemanship and in ways
that support one’s own learning style and pace.

For more details, view General Info Brochure (pdf).
